Coit Wins Family Business of the Year

August 29, 2006, Cincinnati, Ohio – Coit Cincinnati and the Desserich family has won the 2006 University of Cincinnati's Goering Center Family Business of the Year Award for its achievement in community service and management. With a history of over 12 successful entrepreneurial ventures since 1956 through three generations of family, the Desserich family has continued to enhance both ethical operations, industry expertise and community involvement.

Most recently, the Desserich family has developed charitable projects in association with United Way and on their own with the purpose of helping those less fortunate.

While some of their projects were simple donations of services for local charities, others were more complex involving the culmination of up to 53 individuals, their entire staff, 30 associated businesses and over $56,000 in donated funds.

The Goering Center Family Business of the Year Award is an award designed to recognize superior achievements and excellent business practices of local family businesses.
